Finance Executive

The Role The school is seeking to employ a qualified, enthusiastic, committed and versatile Finance Executive to join the current Finance Team of 4 staff to support the College’s Finance systems and processes, reporting to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities The Finance Executive will support specific finance processes within the day to day financial operations of the College.

The Finance

Executive needs to be a strong and a good team member who is in sympathy with the College’s ethos, aims and objectives. He or she will promote the reputation of the College and make sure that dealings with the vendors, parents, pupils, employees and wider communities are courteous and constructive. Specific areas of responsibility may include the following:
  1. Provide support in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  2. Data entry to the financial accounting system (IFinance) and student management information system (ISAMS).
  3. Ensure all banked-in slips and payment made to the respective supplier/vendor are being updated and filled accordingly.
  4. Maintain refundable deposit register
  5. Reconciliation - bank, account receivable, account payable
  6. Manage petty cash collection and update of petty cash journal entries.
  7. Proper upkeep and maintenance of files & documents.
  8. Assist in preparation and submission of relevant filings to regulatory authorities, including but not limited to e-invoicing, SST and witholding tax.
  9. Maintain proper documentation, ax reconciliation and accounts compliance.
  10. Assist any other ad hoc or new duties/assignments from time to time.
Ideal Candidate Profile The successful candidate is expected to have a flexible, hands-on approach to the role, have excellent attention to detail and to be confident and approachable in dealing with staff, parents and other stakeholders. Essential skills include financial acumen and excellent written and oral communication abilities. The successful candidate will be expected to hold a degree in Accountancy/Finance or related qualification; good knowledge of MS Excel and Word; knowledge of iFinance or other ERP system is desirable. The successful candidate should be able to relate well to people at all levels, be calm and confident under pressure, have a good sense of humor and be able to work as part of a team.
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): Communication Skill.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Puteri Harbour, Nusajaya.
  • Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
Hours of Work Normal working hours are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

Remuneration and benefits The remuneration package includes a competitive salary commensurate with the level of experience of the successful candidate.
